Unpad and Buana Kassiti Group Collaborate to Develop Healthy Housing

Bandung, Indonesia – Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) has partnered with property developer Buana Kassiti Group to promote the development of a healthy housing area. The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on March 22 at Buana Cicalengka Raya Housing in Cicalengka, Bandung. The MoU was signed by Unpad’s Rector, Prof. Rina Indiastuti, and Buana Kassiti Group’s CEO, Joko Suranto. The event was also attended by West Java Vice Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum and other key officials.

As part of the partnership, Unpad is committed to supporting Buana Kassiti Group in creating sustainable, environmentally friendly housing in the Buana Cicalengka Raya area. This initiative aligns with both organizations’ shared vision of preserving the environment. A notable component of the project is the creation of an urban forest within the housing complex, symbolized by the ceremonial planting of lame trees by the Rector and other dignitaries. Additionally, the development of a health clinic is planned to serve the local community.

The partnership also extends to the establishment of a co-working space and further green initiatives. The West Java Vice Governor inaugurated the Kassiti Grand Mosque at the housing complex during the event, emphasizing the importance of healthy, sustainable living environments for the region.
