News Article for the Clinical Midwifery Practice II (PKK II) Program

Clinical Midwifery Practice II (PKK II) Successfully Launched by Universitas Padjadjaran

Bandung, Indonesia – July 2024

The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Padjadjaran, specifically the D4 Midwifery Study Program, proudly announces the successful commencement of the Clinical Midwifery Practice II (PKK II) for the academic year 2023-2024. This essential program, designed to enhance the clinical skills and professional readiness of midwifery students, officially started on March 25, 2024, and will continue until June 1, 2024.

The PKK II program aims to provide hands-on learning experiences for students, equipping them with the necessary skills to manage various obstetric, gynecological, neonatal, and pediatric cases. The practice sessions are conducted in collaboration with two major hospitals: RSUD R. Syamsudin, SH. in Sukabumi and RSUD Dr. Soekardjo in Tasikmalaya. These hospitals provide a diverse range of clinical settings, including maternity emergency rooms, obstetric polyclinics, delivery rooms, perinatology rooms, postpartum rooms, and operating rooms.

Looking Ahead

As the PKK II program progresses, the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Padjadjaran remains committed to producing highly skilled and professional midwives who can significantly contribute to reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in Indonesia. The hands-on experience gained through this program is invaluable in preparing students for real-world challenges in midwifery and healthcare.
